Gone but not forgotten

I guess I owe an apology, to myself as much as to anyone else for having neglected my blogs for so long.  I’ve missed it, but the longer I was away the more I felt I needed to be saying something important when I came back.  At this point, however, I think it’s just a good idea to come back.

I may have been gone from the blogs, but they were never far from my mind.  That’s because I’m a goal oriented person, so I’m always setting little goals for myself.  Sometimes it’s as simple as “I need to drink more water” and sometimes it’s more complex.  Nevertheless, I set goals, but I find that they’re not quite as easy to keep without some support and accountability.  So I’m back with a few new goals!

Goal #1: Getting regular exercise.  I’m already on my way toward success here! I take quick 30 minute walk on my lunch breaks and have a standing date to go on a 2+ mile walk with a good friend twice a week. 

Goal #2: Drink lots more water.  With summer and heat lurking, staying hydrated is more important than ever.  So, my goal is to keep my water bottle filled and ready at all times!

Goal #3: Yoga.  Ok, all of you who have followed me know how terrible I am about starting a yoga plan and sticking to it.  I’m infamous for stating that I’m going to do yoga x times a week and then neglect to do any at all.  Well, I’m going to try to do that differently.  So wish me luck!
